Tina Mak, President of AREAA Vancouver states: "AREAA draws global professionals together to share information and forge critical linkages. In many ways, Vancouver is the global epicenter for East-West business. AREAA intends to nurture deeper ties to strengthen the Chinese-North American partnership, and the recent announcement of the Chinese Government officials coming to Vancouver is a testament to what AREAA represents and is a terrific once in a lifetime opportunity".
According to research conducted by AREAA, over the next twenty years Asians will be one of the fastest growing segments of the North Americans population. Because most Asian North Americans are first generation, they face significant language, cultural and knowledge barriers that have kept the homeownership rate relatively unchanged over the past 20 years. AREAA plans to initiate national and regional efforts to address these opportunities.
Founded in 2003, AREAA is an international professional trade organization dedicated to promoting homeownership opportunities in Asian North American communities by creating an international voice for the housing and real estate professionals that serve the market. It consists of 13,000 members in 39 states with 23 affiliate chapters and two chapters in Canada. AREAA Vancouver is comprised of professionals from diverse cultural backgrounds, directly and indirectly associated with the real estate industry in the area.
