WINNIPEG, Sept. 3, 2013 /CNW/ - Westeel, one of Canada's foremost manufacturers of steel storage products, has expanded its line of Smoothwall bins. Westeel has entered into an agreement with Norstar Industries, a manufacturer of grain handling products based in Morris, Manitoba, to build the new bins - the Magnum GNTM model for grain, seed and feed storage and the Magnum FNTM for fertilizer, grain, seed and feed storage.
"The new additions not only expand our product line but also allow us to offer cost-effective Smoothwall bins to new regions," said André Granger, Westeel's President and General Manager. "We have been manufacturing Smoothwall bins since the early 80's and have had great success in Alberta and Saskatchewan."
The new bins are available now in select Manitoba locations and also in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota.
The Magnum GNTM has a storage capacity of 3236 to 5720 bushels. The Magnum FNTM storage capacity ranges from 118 to 209 tons (107 to 189 metric tonnes). Both types of bins feature a 10 year structural guarantee, as well as a 30 month coating warranty.
