World Record Swim Across Lake Erie in support of Jumpstart
ST. CATHARINES, ON, June 17 2016 /CNW/ - Following in the footsteps of her sister, Trinity Arsenault, Michaela Arsenault will be swimming across Lake Erie this week and obtain 2 world records with this swim. She will be swimming butterfly for 20 KM to support Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities.
Michaela will be accompanied by world record holder Marilyn Korzekwa, and her sister, Trinity Arsenault. Along with her swim team and supporters Michaela hopes to join Vicki Keith and Natalie Lambert in crossing a body of water using the grueling butterfly stroke.
Michaela has trained for this swim exclusively at Ridley College this past year. It's a small pool with great possibilities.
Michaela comes from a single parent family and wants all kids to have access to quality programs where they can grow and learn. Jumpstart charities helps families across Canada. For more information on Jumpstart please visit: http://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/en/.
Michaela is planning on beginning her swim at 6:00 AM on June 18, 2016 and swimming from Sturgeon Point, NY to Crystal Beach, ON.
