new packaging makes it easier to find the Orville you love!
MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 17 /CNW/ - Popcorn lovers rejoice! Orville Redenbacher's is adding a new look and flavour to its line of popcorn, shaking up snack time like never before with the launch of Spicy Nacho.
Two thirds of Canadians feel that a variety of flavours is a key consideration when choosing a snack, according to a recent poll by Angus Reid Strategies commissioned on behalf of Orville Redenbacher's. Canada's most popular popcorn brand aims to give Canadians exactly what they crave - more flavour -- with the launch of Orville Redenbacher's Spicy Nacho. Orville Redenbacher's Spicy Nacho pops in minutes, giving consumers a fluffy and flavourful snack without the wait.
Orville Redenbacher's is also rolling out new packaging for all of its microwavable popcorn products. Classic popcorn like Buttery and Select White will remain in red packages, while lighter options like Smart Pop! will be available in green packages. New flavoured popcorn, like Spicy Nacho and Flavour Shakers, will be in yellow packages.
"With red, green and yellow coloured packaging representing the buttery classics, Smart Pop and flavour options respectively, it's never been easier for Canadians to spot their favourite Orville Redenbacher popcorn in the snack aisle," said Rob Tallis, Director of Marketing for Orville Redenbacher's at ConAgra Foods Canada. "Spicy Nacho flavour is a zesty take on a classic snack, and the yellow, easy-to-read packaging makes satisfying those cravings easier than ever!" The latest addition to the brand in Canada, Orville Redenbacher's Spicy Nacho joins earlier popcorn innovations such as Orville Redenbacher's Flavoured Mini Bags and Flavour Shakers popcorn, all part of the yellow line-up of flavoured popcorn. Orville Redenbacher's Spicy Nacho has a suggested retail price of $3.99-$5.49. Orville Redenbacher's Spicy Nacho popcorn will become available at most major retailers on June 17, 2010.
Orville Redenbacher's popcorn is made with 100 percent whole grain popping corn and is a source of fibre. Canada's Food Guide advises Canadians to make at least half of their grain products whole grain each day.
