GREY expands network to offer global marketing capabilities to Digital Media startups
KITCHENER, ON, Oct. 26 /CNW/ - GREY Canada is excited to announce the opening of a new branch in the heart of Canada's Technology Triangle. The new GreyKW office will be located in The Communitech Hub: Digital Media and Mobile Accelerator, in the Lang Tannery building, in downtown Kitchener. This location puts GreyKW in the centre of Canada's thrust for achieving digital media excellence through innovation.
"This initiative is very exciting because it allows us to explore new business opportunities in a very vibrant region within Canada," says Ann Nurock, President and CEO, Grey Canada. "The region of Waterloo has a thriving business community with a range of industries that can benefit from the global expertise that a company like the Grey Group can provide. We are keen to become part of and support the business community in the region."
The key driver for opening this regional office was to be part of the excitement generated by the Communitech Hub which opened on October 7th. This location offers a very dynamic component for Grey Group's expansion into the region. As part of the Hub community, Grey's team will be working directly with startup companies, to assist them in creating their marketing strategy and establishing sales opportunities. The global marketing experience plus the strategic and creative excellence that Grey is known for will be of great value to entrepreneurs and companies throughout the region.
Grey is also pleased to announce the appointment of Beth Cotter as Business Director for this office. Beth is a long time resident of KW and has over 18 years marketing, communications and branding experience, working exclusively in Kitchener Waterloo with B2B companies. Beth began her agency career at Quarry Communications in Waterloo, working with the agencies largest clients for over 8 years. She also worked as a Brand Strategist with MFX Partners for over 5 years. Beth has a Canadian Advertising Agency Practitioner (CAAP) designation from the Institute of Canadian Advertising (ICA).
Beth is able to relate to the various challenges that today's marketing managers face after years of experience working on the corporate client side. From 3 years at Manulife Financial in Waterloo and recently over 2 years with Christie Digital Systems, Beth has a complete understanding of the demands for sales success. During her tenure as a Marketing Manager with Christie Digital, Beth helped to establish sales development initiatives in an effort to grow their Visual Environments division.
"This is a very rewarding community to work and live in," says Beth Cotter on opening the GreyKW office. "I am looking forward to working with local companies to support and strengthen their sales and marketing initiatives. It is a tremendous bonus to have our office located in the Communitech Hub, which is another example of this region's ability to innovate and lead. "
Outside of the agency business, Beth is a member of the Board of Directors of the Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
