MONTRÉAL, le 8 juin 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Groupe Orléans becomes Keolis Canada thus reflecting the main shareholder of the parent company of this Québec-based motorcoach operator. Despite the change in corporate identity, the company will keep its brand names Orléans Express for intercity scheduled service in Québec, Acadian for its intercity operations in the Maritimes, Murray Hill for chartered services, and Expedibus and Acadian Express Courier, for its courier services respectively in Québec and the Maritimes.
"This is an important step in our company's history. The name better reflects our corporate reality and will enable us also to better identify our expertise with our shareholder but it will not affect in any way services nor compromise the trusting relationship we have established with our clientele. Our customers readily recognize our brand names and we will not change them, » declared Denis Andlauer, President and Chief Executive Officer of Keolis Canada. The visual identity of the brands will evolve gradually to Keolis Canada and Keolis Group.
After 10 years of business ties with Groupe Orléans, Keolis Canada became its sole shareholder in January 2012.
