- UPDATE - OPP MAKE SECOND ARREST IN RELATION TO 2008 MURDER
Charles AGBAJOH Homicide - Haldimand County
ORILLIA, ON, Sept. 8 /CNW/ - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested a second man in connection with the November 2, 2008 murder of Charles AGBAJOH of Milton Ontario.
Mr. AGBAJOH's body was found off of Haldimand Road 20 in the Hagersville, ON area on April 19, 2009. At that time police received information that two black males were observed leaving the area in a vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, the OPP have arrested Verdel POWELL, age 24 of no fixed address. POWELL has been charged with First Degree Murder in the death of AGBAJOH.
POWELL appeared in Cayuga Provincial Court this morning and was remanded into custody.
The Ontario Provincial Police would again, like to thank the public for their assistance in helping police solve this case.
The investigation is continuing and other arrests may be pending.
