Primary Suspect Now In Custody
ORILLIA, ON, Sept. 22, 2014 /CNW/ - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Branch have taken the subject of a Canada Wide Warrant into custody in connection with a fatal shooting in Huron County on September 13th, 2014.
70-year-old Donato FRIGO from Caledon East, Ontario was shot to death while riding a horse with a female companion near the Hullett Conservation Area in the Municipality of Central Huron. The female victim was able to reach safety and suffered minor injuries.
On September 18th, the OPP issued a Canada Wide Warrant for Boris PANOVSKI, aged 70 years, from Scarborough, Ontario. On September 21st, PANOVSKI was arrested without incident as he re-entered Canada at Pearson International Airport and was charged with First Degree Murder and Attempted Murder. He will appear later today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.
The OPP extends its appreciation to the public and the media for the support received which led it to this point in the investigation.
