MONTRÉAL, Aug. 10, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Les Éditions de La Pastèque are proud to unveil their « Paul à Montéal » project achieved in collaboration with the Society for the Celebrations of Montréal's 375th anniversary. This long awaited event, part of the Celebrations' official programming, will be launched on August 12th and will stay up until December 10th 2017.
« Paul à Montréal » is a project by author Michel Rabagliati, figurehead of the comics world in Québec, which will take the form of a giant urban course throughout the famous Plateau-Mont-Royal neighbourhood. Throughout the whole course, pedestrians will discover 12 giant panels from a brand new and exclusive story, specially created by the author for this event. Both narritive and interactive, the course will travel from street to street and box to box, allowing the public to travel through the city and its history.
« Paul à Montréal », which has already been shown in Toronto for the Toronto Comics Art Festival (TCAF) and in Lyon at its comics festival, is an event not to be missed to discover rediscover Montréal, its history and architecture and to observe the superb work of the author of the major comics series Paul.

About Michel Rabagliati
Michel Rabagliati was born in 1961 in Montréal, where he grew up in the Rosemont neighbourhood. After a passing interest in typographical design, he studied graphic design and began working independantly in 1981. In 1988, he begins to seriously work in advertising graphic design. Since 1988, his comics are revolutionising the ninth art in Québec. With seven books under his belt, Michel Rabagliati became a key figurehead of comics art in the province. In 2007, the Prix des libraries du Québec awarded hin a special mention for his entire body of work. He was the first Quebecois to with the Prix du public Fauve FNAC-SNCF for Paul à Québec at the 37th Festival international de la bande dessinée d'Angoulême.
