"There is a link between the escalating problem of violence and the underfunding of mental health care," said OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas. "It affects our members and the patients they care for. We can't begin to address this issue of violence until the government tackles the problem of inadequate funding."
OPSEU members who work on the frontlines of mental health service delivery will be available at the news conference to share their workplace experiences.
