/R E P E A T -- Invitation to media - Minister Mélanie Joly to announce tourism sector investments/

SHERBROOKE, QC, June 22, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ -  Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages, accompanied by Élisabeth Brière, Member of Parliament for Sherbrooke and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, will announce financial assistance to support the tourism sector in its recovery efforts.

Tourism is an important economic engine across the country, providing many jobs. It has also been hit hard due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the impacts stand to last for several months, and even several years. The Government of Canada is working with sector stakeholders to adapt its support to the new reality.
