Loterie mensuelle tickets go on sale as of today for six whole weeks at the very same price as Day 1: $2. The draw will be held March 14, 2020, exactly 50 years after Loto-Québec's very first draw. This time around, however, there'll be five $125,000 jackpots up for grabs!

- The first draw for this lottery game—and the very first in Loto-Québec history—was held on March 14, 1970. More than 1 million Quebecers purchased a ticket.
- At the time, customers could get their Loterie mensuelle ticket at the bank or by sending an entry form and $2 to Loto-Québec.
- Leading up to the first draw, a gala was held at Théâtre Saint-Denis in Montréal. The winners were unveiled on live TV.
- Since its inception, the government corporation has awarded the people of Québec close to $30 billion in prizes, and more than 1,800 prizes of $1,000,000 or more.

Loto-Québec has launched a microsite to celebrate its 50th anniversary. To properly highlight the most memorable moments of the corporation's history, the platform has been designed as a timeline from 1970 to today. In addition to these highlights, the microsite contains heartfelt testimonials (written and video) that provide a glimpse into the very special relationships Loto-Québec has forged with partners, local businesses, social economy companies, and charities.
