TORONTO, Oct. 23, 2023 /CNW/ - On October 24, VIA Rail's new fleet will make its grand entrance in the Toronto for its first official Ottawa-Toronto journey, marking a historical milestone for rail travel in Canada! For the very first time, Canada's capital and largest city will be connected by this state-of-the-art and stunning train, ushering in a new era of comfortable, barrier-free and eco-friendly travel in the Québec City-Windsor corridor.

To highlight this day, members of the media are invited to celebrate the arrival of Train #41 in the company of our President and CEO, Mario Péloquin, and our dedicated employees at our Toronto Maintenance Center, where the new fleet will be housed and maintained.

The doors of the train will be opened for the first time to offer media professionals the opportunity to capture photographs and footage showcasing to Torontonians the onboard experience that awaits them.

For those unable to attend in person, a collection of images and videos featuring our new fleet will be promptly made available following the celebration.
