/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - APPELE-Québec to Host Community Hearings on Bill 40/
MONTREAL, Nov. 15, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - APPELE-Québec – the Alliance for the Promotion of Public English-language Education in Québec – is hosting a public hearing on Bill 40; An Act to amend mainly the Education Act with regard to school organization and governance.
"Many representatives of our community were not invited to appear before the National Assembly Committee studying Bill 40, and we believe their voices need to be heard," explains Geoffrey Kelley, Chair of APPELE-Québec. "We are providing them with the forum to share their views on this complex piece of legislation which we believe is unworkable and presents unnecessary obstacles to the exercise of our constitutional right to manage and control our school system."
Time and Date: Tuesday, November 19 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
