OTTAWA, ON, Feb. 9, 2023 /CNW/ - To mark Black History Month, the Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, will welcome 21 new citizens at a special citizenship ceremony. The ceremony will be presided by Citizenship Judge Rochelle Ivri.
The following special guests will join:
- Greg Fergus, Member of Parliament for Hull—Aylmer
- Mona Fortier, Member of Parliament for Ottawa—Vanier
- Monique Manatch, Knowledge Keeper for the Algonquins of Barriere Lake
- Marlayah McLeod, Anthem singer
- Maya Spoken, spoken word artist and founder of the poetry showcase Tell 'Em Girl
- Fatou Toure, Clerk of the Ceremony
