BURNABY, BC, Nov. 15, 2023 /CNW/ - The Honourable Terry Beech, Minister of Citizens' Services on behalf of the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, will be joined by Ted Hewitt, president of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and Chair of the Tri-agency Institutional Programs Secretariat, at Simon Fraser University to unveil the results of the 2022 Canada Excellence Research Chairs (CERC) program competition. Following the announcement, three meritorious CERCs will join the Minister and Dr. Hewitt for a fireside chat about the ambitious research programs they will establish at postsecondary institutions across Canada.
Media availability will follow the announcement and media are encouraged to attend the networking event to engage with the new CERCs.
