A half-day of activities focusing on the socioeconomic and geographic
disparities impacting young children and their families
MONTRÉAL, Nov. 6, 2024 /CNW/ - Elise Bonneville, Director of the Collectif petite enfance, cordially invites representatives of the media to take part in an afternoon lineup of activities dedicated to exploring the socioeconomic and geographic disparities experienced by children five and under and their families, as part of the ninth annual Early Childhood Week.
Hosted by Miriam Fahmy, the event will begin with an exclusive presentation by Julie Cailliau, Director of the Observatoire des tout-petits (Early Childhood Observatory) entitled Dans quels environnements grandissent les tout-petits du Québec?. This will be followed by a panel discussion, featuring several experts from a wide range of disciplines, to address critical issues for young children and their families. The Collectif petite enfance will then pay tribute to André Lebon, a consultant and former Vice-President of the Special Commission on the Rights of the Child and Youth Protection, in honour of his contributions to the well-being of the next generation. The kickoff will then wrap up with a speech by Quebec Minister of Families Suzanne Roy and a networking reception.
