It's time for Le Week-end! This Saturday and Sunday marks Le Week-end pour combattre le cancer, the only weekend-long event benefitting the Jewish General Hospital's world-renowned Segal Cancer Centre. Participants from Montreal and across the province will come together, enjoy the outdoors and ride, walk and connect while raising funds and awareness for a cause worth fighting for. |

WHERE: |
Cyclists will begin their journey from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and ride through the picturesque Montérégie region. Walkers will start at Venise-en-Québec and take in the serene beauty of this region. |
WHEN: |
Cyclists will begin their ride on Saturday, August 21 at 8 a.m. They will depart from Arena Marcel-Laroque - 370 Avenue Lareau, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC J2X 2R6. Riders can choose distances of 60, 80, 96 and 156 kilometres. The finish will be at Arena Marcel-Laroque - 370 Avenue Lareau, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC J2X 2R6 respectively. The first riders should arrive at approximately noon. |
Walkers will head out on Sunday, August 22, 2021 as of 8 a.m. from Parc Jameson - 136 Avenue de Venise E #132, Venise-en-Québec, QC J0J 2K0. They will start at Venise-en-Québec with the option of 6, 11 and 16-kilometre routes. |

Walkers are expected to complete the route in 4-5 hours and arrive at Parc Jameson - 136 Avenue de Venise E #132, Venise-en-Québec, QC J0J 2K0. |

WHY: |
Le Week-end is expected to raise $2.5 million dollars in support of the Segal Cancer Centre. Funds raised will make a direct impact on the lives of thousands of cancer patients and fuel vital cancer research, exceptional care, and ground-breaking innovation, right here in our own backyard. |
