Seven new outdoor exhibit sites installed along the Rideau Canal capture the historic, symbolic and cultural importance of the waterway.
OTTAWA, May 13, 2019 /CNW/ - The Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, will take part in the inauguration of the Rideau Canal Promenade Exhibit on Tuesday. Minister McKenna will speak on behalf of the Honorable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism. Minister McKenna will be accompanied by Jean-Claude Poissant, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food; Tobi Nussbaum, Chief Executive Officer of the National Capital Commission; Jim Watson, Mayor of Ottawa; Marc Seaman, Chair of the National Capital Commission Board of Directors, and; representatives of the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation.
