TORONTO, Jan. 21, 2019 /CNW/ - In 2019, the Ontario Science Centre is rallying generations of dreamers and doers to join in celebrating the human adventure of discovery. On Thursday, January 24, we will be launching our 50th birthday celebrations with an interactive media preview, where you will have the opportunity to:
- Learn how science and technology education has evolved over the past 50 years, and what role the Science Centre has played
- Interview executive-level and government stakeholders about their experiences with this established Toronto institution, including:
- Honourary Patron, the Hon. Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario
- Hon. Michael Tibollo, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport
- Dr. Maurice Bitran, CEO and Chief Science Office, Ontario Science Centre
- Get a first look at the Science Centre's latest exhibition, Inventorium 2.0: a space of hands-on craft and innovation, where nature and biology meet design, technology and humanity's impact on our world
- Speak with Canadian artists Elaine Whittaker and Jude Abu Zaineh about their unique and thought-provoking Inventorium installations
