/R E P E A T -- MEDIA ADVISORY - Parliamentary Secretary Lalonde to host a documentary screening to mark World Refugee Day/ Français
OTTAWA, ON, June 19, 2023 /CNW/ - Marie-France Lalonde, Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, will mark World Refugee Day by attending the documentary film screening, Memories In A Box: Across Borders, by Afghan Human Rights Defenders. This short film chronicles the Afghanistan Human Rights and Democracy Organization (AHRDO)'s harrowing 5-month journey from Afghanistan to Edmonton, following the fall of Kabul to the Taliban in August 2021.
Parliamentary Secretary Lalonde will be joined by:
