MONTREAL, Aug. 20, 2021 /CNW Telbec/ - On Sunday, August 22nd, 2021, at 10:30 am, a press conference to launch the campaign of the National Council of Unemployed Workers (NCUW) will be held at the Maison du Développement durable (Sainte-Catherine Room) in Montreal. This campaign, taking place amid the current federal election, aims to highlight the importance of the social safety net and of a 21st century Employment Insurance (EI) program.
The spokesperson for the NCUW, Pierre Céré, will be joined by Ghislain Picard, chief of the Assembly of First Nations Québec-Labrador, Anne Trudel, president of the Conseil québécois du Théâtre and by Julie Brassard from Mouvement Action-Chômage de Charlevoix (MACC).
After speeches and questions, the speakers will be available for individual interviews.
