TORONTO, March 23, 2022 /CNW/ - Some 160 striking LifeLabs couriers and mailroom clerks will rally to demand a living wage outside the company's head office. Joining them will be a number of labour leaders and workers.

The workers have been on strike since March 14, 2022. They joined OPSEU/SEFPO in 2020 and seek a first collective agreement. Warren (Smokey) Thomas, President of OPSEU/SEFPO, which represents the LifeLabs workers, and First Vice-President/Treasurer Eduardo (Eddy) Almeida will be on hand to address the workers and respond to questions from the media.
Toronto and York Region President Andria Babbington and Amalgamated Transit Union Canada Vice-President Eric Tuck will also speak. Workers represented by the Amalgamated Transit Union, the United Food and Commercial Workers and CUPE Local 4400 will join the picket lines.
