MONTREAL, May 27, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Last Sunday, the young and the young-at-heart, in wheelchairs or on foot, gathered at the same time in all parts of Quebec to participate in the 19th MS Walk to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
Their collective efforts raised $1,287,000 in 22 Quebec regions: Alma, Baie-Comeau, Montreal West Island, Blainville, Lower St. Lawrence, Chaudière-Appalaches, Drummondville, Montreal East, Gatineau, Granby, Lanaudière, Laval, Montérégie, Montreal, Mont-Tremblant, Quebec City, Saguenay, Saint-Hyacinthe, Saint-Jérôme, Sept-Îles, Sherbrooke and Trois-Rivières.
For the seventh consecutive year, Sébastien Benoit acted as provincial spokesperson for the MS Walk and was present at the Montreal Walk: "The MS Walk is a festive event that shows our support for the 20,000 Quebecers with multiple sclerosis and celebrates our hope for a future without MS!"
