MONTREAL, May 14, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Youth Fusion and ALDO Group are inviting the media to the first ever RISING FASHION Gala, which will showcase 60 emerging high school student designers from various Quebec regions. This exceptional event will award the winners of the inaugural edition of the RISING FASHION Challenge, a new fashion design educational program jointly rolled out by Youth Fusion and ALDO Group, in collaboration with LaSalle College, to stem high school dropout rates.
The participants' creations will be featured during a fashion show, before a jury made up of experts, including designer Mélissa Nepton and songstress Émily Bégin. Seven awards will be presented. The grand prize is a one-day internship at ALDO headquarters. Also, throughout June, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts will exhibit the sketches having obtained the most votes from the public.

Youth Fusion is an award-winning Canadian charitable organization, created in Quebec, which establishes innovative partnerships between disadvantaged schools and universities, in an effort to lower dropout rates. It does so by creating and implementing yearlong projects that engage youth in learning, and motivate them to attend school.
