2010 Awards for Canada's Payroll Certifications Programs Announced
TORONTO, May 25 /CNW/ - The Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2010 Gold, Silver and Bronze Certification Awards. These individuals have attained the highest overall marks nationwide in the compulsory payroll courses of the CPA's professional Certification Programs.
The 2010 Regional Certification Award Winners were recognized at 16 certification recognition events held across Canada from April 7 to May 6. The CPA congratulated these individuals along with an additional 1,600 professionals who completed their Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) and Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) certifications over the last year. They join over 7,500 certified payroll professionals throughout the country who have completed their PCP and CPM certifications with the Association.
"A Payroll Compliance Practitioner has the skills and competencies required to keep an organization compliant for an annual payroll cycle, while a Certified Payroll Manager contributes a payroll perspective to strategic management discussions related to remuneration and benefits," states Janice MacLellan, CPA Chairman. "By completing certification, these individuals have demonstrated their commitment to their careers and exemplify the CPA's core values of community, professionalism and authoritative knowledge."
