2012 Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario Annual Meeting
Speakers include Pan Am 2015 CEO, Maddox Jolie Pitt Foundation CEO, Andrea Horwath
TORONTO, Aug. 10, 2012 /CNW/ - Close to 800 public elementary school teachers will attend the 2012 Annual Meeting of the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario in Toronto from August 13-16 at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel. They will debate, and set policies and directions for the coming year.
Ian Troop, CEO of the 2015 Toronto Pan/Para Pan Am Games will address delegates; ETFO is already working on related 2015 projects. This year's social justice speaker is Stephan Bognar, CEO of the Maddox Jolie Pitt (MJP) Foundation funded by Angelina Jolie. ETFO works in partnership with the Foundation to provide support for women and girls living in Cambodian rural villages. Ontario NDP Leader Andrea Horwath will also address the delegates and respond to questions.
ETFO represents 76,000 elementary public school teachers and education professionals across the province and is the largest teacher federation in Canada.
