2012 Q3 Financial Results: Creaform is Off to an Exceptional Second Semester
High tech company on its way to exceeding 2012 sales objectives
LÉVIS, QC, Nov. 8, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Creaform, leader in portable 3D optical measurement technologies and 3D engineering services, today announced its results for Q3 of 2012. The company reports sales of C$10 million in Q3, which makes for a 24% year-over-year growth. Worldwide technology bookings in Q3 are also up an exceptional 85% over 2011.
In terms of technology sales, the year-to-date technology booking is up 21% over 2011, and the sales of MetraSCAN 3D optical CMM scanners have doubled since the launch in May of the MetraSCAN 210. Creaform continues on successfully deploying its metrology services offer worldwide, and shows a 30% YOY growth in that respect. Plus, it is very interesting to note that despite the economical and political uncertainty in EMEA, Creaform has managed to increase Q3 YOY technology order bookings by 141% and sales by 72% on that territory.
Martin Lamontagne, president and CEO at Creaform, comments the company's sales performance: "Despite the usual summer sales slowdown, Q3 has been a very strong quarter for us. We are having an exceptional second semester so far, and we are confident to reach our annual sales target of C$45M. On top of that, we have started Q4 leading the most important launch event of the history of the company with the introduction of the Go!SCAN 3D handheld white light scanner. The strong and immediate interest that it has created is very promising, and gives us all the more reasons to believe that we will - once again - beat our own sales records in Q4."
