2013 F1 trophy on display during the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in New Orleans
VALCOURT, QC, Nov. 11, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - BRP will present the 2013 Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada trophy during the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals (RMCGF) that will be held at New Orleans' NOLA Motorsports Park from November 13 to 16, 2013.
BRP's Design team has produced the F1 Grand Prix du Canada trophy for the last three years. Some of these designers will be present at BRP's booth to discuss the rationale and challenges behind their conception Friday, November 15. Participants will have the opportunity to take photographs of the F1 trophy, along with BRP products such as Ski-Doo snowmobiles, Sea-Doo watercraft, Evinrude outboard engines and Can-Am off-road vehicles and Spyder roadsters. These same designers also developed the RMCGF trophies that will be on display along with a kart powered by a Rotax engine.
In addition, a BRP Recruitment team is holding an engine contest on November 12 and 13 where participants go head-to-head and race to adjust a balance drive. Eligible candidates can also enter a drawing to win a three-day trip to Valcourt, Canada, birthplace of the Ski-Doo snowmobile, to discover BRP first-hand.
"The BRP team and our partners at NOLA Motorsports Park and MAX Speed Group have pulled out all the stops," said François Tremblay, director of marketing, Rotax kart engines. "From a record participation to BRP vehicles on site, great contests and an F1 trophy, we are certain that the 2013 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals will be the best yet!"
The Rotax MAX Challenge (RMC) is a professional kart racing series established, owned and organized by BRP and its Rotax kart engine distributors. Approved by and in compliance with CIK / FIA, the RMC is a "one-make-engine" formula: only Rotax kart engines that are checked and sealed (for equal performance) are allowed. The success in the competition is mainly up to the skills of the driver.
The Grand Finals is the annual event gathering qualifying drivers from each participating country. This 14th edition of the RMCGF will showcase a record attendance of 360 drivers from 53 countries around the world. The event is open to the public; tickets can be purchased on-site or via the website of NOLA Motorsports Park: www.nolamotor.com. You can also watch the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals live on the web starting with the qualifying rounds at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13 right up to the finals on Saturday, November 16 by following this link: http://rgf-2013.kart-data.com.
