MONTRÉAL, June 11, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - On June 13 and 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Montrealers are invited to discover the 20 winners of the 2015 Commerce Design Montréal Awardshttp://designmontreal.com/commerce-design/laureats as part of the "Veni. Vidi. Vote!" weekend. It's the ideal opportunity to meet the merchants and designers who created these concepts and learn more about their sources of inspiration.
Spread across seven boroughs, the award-winning businesses are highly diverse: clothing boutiques, restaurants, bars and cafés, a hair salon, bakeries and showrooms. During the "Veni. Vidi. Vote!" weekend, the winning merchants and designers will join forces to present their venues from a fresh perspective. Notably, they will emphasize the functional and organizational aspects of the space, and they'll explain how they went about creating just the right ambiance to attract and delight their clientele.
"Design promotes local businesses and helps them become both a draw for tourists and a favourite haunt of Montrealers. A well-thought-out design puts a human face on a space while providing a comfortable and enjoyable customer experience. In fact, these businesses improve the living environment of the neighbourhood and the city alike," states Manon Gauthier, member of the executive committee responsible for culture, heritage, design, the Space for Life and the status of women.
The weekend offers the perfect chance for families, couples or friends to make the rounds of the winning businesses on foot, bicycle or public transit. There's also no better way to rediscover many of the city's iconic neighbourhoods.
