2015 CPRS National Conference - CPRS AND #PRmixer join forces to bring Montreal to life
The future of the PR industry will meet Canada's best minds in communications management
MONTRÉAL, May 7, 2015 /CNW/ - Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) and the #PRmixer are proud to collaborate for the inaugural reception of the CPRS 2015 National Conference. Canada's best and brightest PR and communication management professionals will mix with future industry leaders to converse on the profession's evolution during the next #PRmixer on Sunday May 31, 2015.
Professionals of all ages will have the opportunity to debate the knowledge and skill sets PR and communication professionals will need by 2025 to guide organizations in developing strong relationships with their different stakeholders.
"The means by which we communicate evolves at an exponential rate. PR professionals and communication managers have to stay on top of the trends and understand how they can leverage each opportunity for the benefit of their organization," indicated David Barrett, a member of the conference's advisory committee. "The #PRmixer is a golden opportunity for professionals of all ages to share their experience as early adopters using new communication platforms."
Approximately 300 PR professionals are expected to congregate during the National event, which has not been held in Montreal for 16 years.
"#PRmixer aims to mobilize the PR community to ensure today's youth have access to the PR industry's best and brightest minds," stated Vincent White, #PRmixer co-founder. "The 2015 CPRS National Conference is a one-of-a-kind occasion to bridge the gap between generations and engage in open discussions regarding the future of our profession. "
The upcoming #PRmixer will feature a presentation from Kathia St-Jean, Public Relations & Affairs Director for the 375e de Montréal. On the eve of the City's 375th anniversary, Ms. St-Jean will share insights on how her team plans to make Montréal buzz in 2017. CPRS acknowledges the generous sponsorship from Meltwater for this event.

"More and more companies are realizing the benefits of analyzing their place in the market in order to make decisions that impact the business bottom line. A company knows there are certain decisions that are critical, and no executive should make a critical decision blindly. Using data, beyond proprietary data that is limited in view, a company has a much greater chance at success," said Michael Gorodisher, Meltwater Area Director, Canada. "We're excited to support and participate in an event that is encouraging the use of new, automated technologies to drive transformation in our industry."
