CHARLOTTETOWN, Aug. 29, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Honourable Tom Marshall, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, is pleased to announce that the 2015 meeting of Canada's Premiers will be held in Newfoundland and Labrador from July 14-18, 2015.
"This meeting of Canada's Premiers presents an excellent opportunity for provinces and territories to discuss issues of importance to all Canadians and to further address priorities leading up to the 2015 federal election," said Premier Marshall.
"Historic and beautiful Newfoundland and Labrador will provide a culturally and geographically rich setting for these talks to occur. We look forward to hosting this important meeting."
The Council of the Federation was created in 2003 to promote provincial-territorial cooperation and closer ties between members, foster meaningful relations between governments based on respect for the Constitution and recognition of the diversity within the federation, and show leadership on issues important to all Canadians.
