TORONTO, April 21, 2016 /CNW/ - Rabba, Toronto's local neighbourhood market chain, celebrates today the opening of its 34th location, at 580 Jarvis St. (near Charles St.). The new location, a Rabba Marché, is characterized by a bright and fashionable décor, a variety of in-store prepared meals, a ready-to-order sushi station and the most convenient store hours in the industry.
"We pride ourselves on keeping the doors open for our neighbours and having quality food choices at affordable prices," says Jiries Rabba, director of marketing at Rabba. "Living and working downtown does not mean people should be shortchanged or emptyhanded when it comes to meals and groceries on the go, especially late at night or early in the morning. Toronto is a unique city and we've made it our job to stay in close step with our neighbours and their needs."
The store employs a total of 30 people through full and part-time positions including two managers who have recently arrived from Syria through the various government and private refugee resettlement programs.
The 34th Rabba market features:
"We look forward to providing value and service to the local professional and residential community around Bloor and Jarvis," says Rabba. "Having access to a local market in the area can mean significantly less commute time and more time for our customers to spend doing what they love. We invite everyone to visit us - in the morning for a muffin, on a lunch break for a hot meal, or even for quick dinner solutions on the way home."
To commemorate the new store, Rabba organized a grand opening today that offered free lunches, product sampling, giveaways and demonstrations by Chef Massimo Capra.
The first 1,000 customers to make a purchase at the new location will receive a free package of specialty baklava.
