2Keys Security Solutions Awarded Government of Northwest Territories Branded Credential Management Service

NTKey provides individuals and businesses with electronic credentials for securely interacting with Government of Northwest Territories online services.

OTTAWA, Dec. 5, 2013 /CNW/ - 2Keys Security Solutions has been awarded a contract by the Government of Northwest Territories with a managed Branded Credential Service known as NTKey.

NTKey will provide individuals and businesses with electronic credentials management and authentication services for securely accessing online services offered by Northwest Territories Government Departments and Agencies.

"The Government of Northwest Territories is pleased to make this secure online service available to its citizens to make their life simpler and more secure when accessing online Government services and programs. Our choice of this specific service also aligns us with the Government of Canada's Cyber Authentication Renewal Initiatives and leverages the proven GCKey platform", said Dave Heffernan, Chief Information Officer of the Government of Northwest Territories.

"2Keys has been providing identity and access management consulting and managed security services for over a decade to Governments and the Financial Sector, and is pleased to have been selected to offer this secure, cost effective and standards based solution," said Robert Pierce, 2Keys President and Chief Security Officer. "NTKey is a SAML 2.0 Credential Service Provider (CSP) that will play a key role in enabling the federation of electronic credentials within the Northwest Territories."

NTKey will be made available to initial Departments early in 2014.
