Canadian Innovation
"We're pleased that the Canadian FinTech Awards garnered such an incredible response with nominations from across the country," said Christine Duhaime, the Founder of the Digital Finance Institute, and a prominent international financial crime lawyer. "It's a reflection of the exceptional innovation capacity and entrepreneurial drive in Canada in financial services. FinTech represents a $13 trillion market opportunity for any country, including Canada, and the support for the Digital Finance Institute's Canadian FinTech Awards from the private sector shows that Canada is poised to seize that opportunity."
"We have stellar leading organizations nominated, including a nomination for the Government of British Columbia for RegTech, which represents the first government in the world to be nominated for leadership in financial technology," said Ms. Duhaime.
