35 Canadian entries win RTDNA International Regional Murrow Awards
TORONTO, April 18, 2013 /CNW/ - RTDNA Canada - The Association of Electronic Journalists - congratulates the 14 Canadian newsrooms that have won regional Edward R. Murrow Awards from RTDNA International.
The Washington office of RTDNA announced today that 35 Canadian entries were among the regional Murrow Award winners which will now go on to compete for national honours.
680News Toronto was the big radio winner in Region 14 garnering a total of eight awards. On the television side, Global News Toronto, CTV News Kitchener and CTV Vancouver Island each received four regional Murrows.
RTDNA Canada President Ian Koenigsfest says "We've always known that Canadian newsrooms produce outstanding journalism and recognition by the international body is further proof of that."

The Canadian winners will receive their regional Murrow Awards on Saturday, June 15 during RTDNA Canada's National Conference at Toronto's Metropolitan Hotel, June 13 to 15, 2013.
