Canada's first institutional-quality portfolio of digital currencies, active crypto-digital managers
TORONTO, Oct. 24, 2017 /CNW/ - 3iQ Corp. is pleased to announce the launch of the 3iQ Global Cryptoasset Fund, the first institutional-quality investment portfolio offering diversified exposure to the world's top cryptocurrencies, as well as to active managers in the crypto-digital space.
The new fund will invest directly in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin, as well as external crypto-focused funds that invest in digital commodities such as computing storage space, bandwidth and processing power and digital tokens used to provision digital services.
"Cryptocurrencies represent the beginning of a new foundation of digital payment for goods and services that does not rely on the traditional framework of sending, receiving and exchanging money," says Frederick Pye, President and CEO of 3iQ. "We are providing investors with a secure, liquid, tax efficient way to invest in a diversified portfolio of these new digital currencies."
Unique to the 3iQ Global Cryptocurrency Fund, are relationships which provide an institutional level of security, lead consultancy and expert trading to access liquidity in the cryptoasset space.
"Our advantage is to have secured diversification of the three major cryptoassets in one fixed tax-efficient pool," says Pye. "We also have independent custody, independent pricing and independent trading – all ensuring no conflicts of interest."
The fund will be available to accredited investors across Canada, and is eligible for registered accounts. Units of the fund will be available to purchase via FundServ.
