49 more buildings in Quebec earn BOMA BESt® certification

MONTREAL, April 23, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - The provincial commercial building owners and managers association (BOMA Québec) unveiled the names of the latest properties to have received the BOMA BESt® certification, during its biannual excellence awards gala ceremony on April 23rd at Windsor Station's Salle des pas perdus.

The number of BOMA BESt® certified properties has continued to grow in Quebec since the establishment of this unique, national and voluntary program in 2005. The Building Environmental Standards certification sets performance benchmarks for indoor air quality, energy management, recycling and re-use, waste reduction, tenant awareness as well as health and safety. Levels are determined by points allocated by an independent expert during an on-site inspection. The goal of the program is to "Create a sustainable environment, one building at a time."
