TORONTO, Jan. 4, 2014 /CNW/ - The second LOTTO MAX draw of the New Year will have Ontario lottery players smiling. The draw on Friday, January 10, 2014 will offer an estimated $50 million jackpot plus an estimated 2 MAXMILLIONS prizes of $1 million each.
Last night's draw created a pair of winning tickets in the province. A ticket sold in Toronto shares the second prize pool with a ticket sold in Western Canada. This ticket is worth $231,065.90. Also a winning ENCORE ticket worth $100,000 was sold in the Owen Sound region.
Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario LOTTO MAX players have won over $2 billion in prizes, including 31 jackpot wins and 189 winning MAXMILLIONS tickets from all across the province.
For each $5 play, LOTTO MAX players receive three sets of seven numbers ranging from one to forty-nine. Players must match all seven numbers, in any one set, to win the jackpot and the MAXMILLIONS prizes.
Players can purchase tickets at authorized OLG retailers until 9 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 for the draw that evening.
