MONTRÉAL, Aug. 20, 2024 /CNW/ - Quebecers have won a whole host of lottery prizes since the beginning of 2024. So much so that Loto-Québec paid out 72 prizes worth $1,000,000 or more across Québec, making 58 new millionaires!
"Loto-Québec paid out over $1.6 billion in prizes to lottery winners in 2023. Players' lucky break continued through 2024, with 72 prizes of $1,000,000 or more being awarded so far across Québec!" 2024 so far in Québec:
- Loto-Québec paid out 72 prizes of $1,000,000 or more, including 8 Formule groupe prizes.
- These prizes made 58 new millionaires.
- 5 Lotto 6/49 Classic Jackpots of $5,000,000 each were won in Chaudières-Appalaches, Estrie, Montérégie (twice) and Outaouais.
- 9 prizes of $1,000,000 or more were paid out to winners who had purchased their tickets online.
- 7 were won with the Gagnant à vie and Grande Vie lottery games, including 1 lifetime annuitie of $1,000 a day for life with Grande Vie.
- Over 850 cheques for $25,000 or more were awarded.
