Classic Porsche models offer glimpse into the past 70 years of Porsche and peek into the future
TORONTO, Feb. 14, 2018 /CNW/ - Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd., is excited to reveal a special exhibit at the Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS) this year in honour of "70 Years of the Porsche Sports Car". The display will offer attendees a unique walkthrough of the Porsche brand over the past 70 years with historically significant classic Porsche models present. Furthermore, a glimpse into the future of Porsche sports cars will also be available in the form of a scale model version of Mission E, the first pure electrically driven vehicle that will be produced in Zuffenhausen.
"We will be celebrating '70 Years of the Porsche Sports Car' throughout the year across the globe and we are thrilled that we have the display available here at the Canadian International Auto Show," said Achim Stejskal, Director of the Porsche Museum and Historical Public Relations. "The display communicates the technical excellence integrated into the historical portfolio and how the brand is taking measured steps to ensure that Porsche continues to fascinate – even beyond another 70 years."
The display includes Porsche vehicles from a variety of generations, including: 356, 912, 911 (930) Turbo, Carrera GT, and 918 Spyder. A scale model version of the Mission E concept study is also present and integrates a captivating virtual reality component. The exhibit is open to all CIAS attendees, between February 16 to 25, 2018, located in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Hall, 100 Level.
