MONTRÉAL, Sept. 28, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Close to 800 Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton employees rallied together on Thursday and Friday of last week to give back to the community. Driven by a common desire to give back to local communities, in which the firm has proudly been involved for the past 68 years, teams of employees pooled their talent and devoted their work day to various community organizations.
"The vitality of our communities is important to us. Through our extensive teamwork, we provided substantial support to local communities that give us so much. I would like to thank my colleagues for their exemplary contribution. Through our professional and personal commitments, we help shape the environments in which we work. We are there to support organizations and their people to ensure their success. At Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, we all share the same passion: making a difference in people's lives! Our commitment to the community is a critical component of this collective desire," stated Emilio B. Imbriglio, President and CEO of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton.
Giving back to the community: it's RCGT's business!
The firm closed most of its 100 offices across Quebec and in the Ottawa region to allow its staff to give back to the community. "Our close relationship with our clients, solid regional network, agility and tradition of excellence are what make us a partner of choice for local and community organizations," added Imbriglio.
On Thursday, September 22nd and Friday, September 23rd, under the theme, RCGT in the Community, the firm made a difference with approximately fifty organizations in the Greater Montréal, Gaspé, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Abitibi, Québec City, Chaudière-Appalaches, Mauricie, Outaouais and Ottawa regions.
This community day was part of a global movement initiated by Grant Thornton International which aims to contribute to the development of communities by allowing some 42,000 professionals in more than 130 countries to devote their work day to supporting a local organization with its mission.
