MONTREAL, Jan. 17, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Our master of ceremony, singer Lulu Hughes and the Coalition Priorité Cancer au Québec invite you to the 9th Annual Conference to End Cancer on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at the Sandman Hotel in Longueuil. This year's theme "Innovating together for a Better Future / Innover pour mieux aider, rassembler pour mieux créer."
Topics this year include: immunotherapy in oncology, unmet needs for HPV-related cancer prevention, the importance of patient associations in clinical trials, and round table discussions on drug reimbursement issues and another called "Caregivers in the Workplace: When work collides with patient care." In addition, we will be highlighting the progress of a patient's campaign launched with our support earlier this month (www.15weeks.ca), championed by Marie-Hélène Dubé, which is aimed at increasing the sickness benefits for critical illness provided by Employement Insurance.
We will also be hearing speeches from Dr. Jean Latreille, director of the Direction générale de cancérologie (DGC), as well as from the spokesperson of the official opposition on the matters of health and accessibility to care, Ms. Diane Lamarre.
