/CNW/ - Mr. Paul-Arthur Huot, the Bureau du Québec à Toronto's Chief Representative, is pleased to announce that Mrs. Renée Ouellet is joining its team as a Cultural Counsellor.
Mrs. Ouellet
has a wealth of experience in promoting Québec culture abroad.
Throughout her career,
Mrs. Ouellet
has held different positions in the Québec Government, most notably in
Paris
and New York. During her tenure at the Délégation du Québec à
Paris
, she held numerous positions as Press Attaché, Cultural Counsellor, and Director of Cultural Services.
Most recently,
Mrs. Ouellet
was coordinating the Québec cultural participation at the Sixth Jeux de la Francophonie in Beyrouth,
Lebanon
, in 2009.
Renée Ouellet holds a bachelor in social communications from the
Ottawa
University. She was researcher-interviewer and cultural commentator at CBOF Radio in
Ottawa
. She codirected the magazine La Gazette des Femmes.
In 1999, Renée Ouellet received the honour of Chevalière des Arts et des Lettres from France's Culture Minister. In 2005, she was honoured by receiving the French Légion d'honneur.
As much in Québec as in abroad,
Mrs. Ouellet

The mandate of the Bureau du Québec is to promote and safeguards Québec's interests in Ontario, Manitoba, and Western provinces as well as the three territories. The Bureau is involved in many sectors of activities including intergovernmental relations, trade promotion, culture and the Francophonie.
