Toyota Canada and Ontario partners join together to test real-world use of the newest automotive advanced technology
TORONTO, Aug. 23 /CNW/ - The Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid (PHV) hits Canadian roads and signals a new era in sustainable mobility for Canadians. As part of a nationwide Prius PHV test trial program, join Toyota Canada and provincial partners the Province of Ontario (Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Transportation), Ontario Power Generation, the City of Toronto and the AUTO21 Network of Centres of Excellence as they deliver the first Toyota Prius PHV to the province and 'plug-in' to a new sustainable mobility evolution.
Beginning this summer and continuing for the next 12 months, the Ontario partners will share their Prius PHV, which will be fitted with telematics equipment to record vehicle and hybrid system performance. This feedback will deliver critical technical and consumer acceptance feedback of the Prius PHV, unique to the Canadian market.
