A platform made for online viewing - MAtv® unveils its brand new website

MONTREAL, Oct. 17, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - MAtv, Videotron's community channel, invites Quebec viewers to visit its brand new website, matv.ca—a regionalized platform perfect for online viewing on any device, where they can watch MAtv programs and enjoy a wide variety of distinctive local content, all for free.

A platform for today's viewers
With the goal of making its content more accessible, the new website has been designed to promote online viewing. As MAtv Senior Director Steve Desgagné explains, "By renewing its web platform, MAtv is reaffirming its role as a hyperlocal media outlet. Technology and television are evolving at warp speed, and MAtv intends to pursue its mission as a community medium that stands out for its uniquely local character and its closeness to the community's citizens."

In addition to offering smooth, user-friendly navigation, MAtv's new web platform has a Videos section where viewers can access all of the content available on the site, including complete episodes, excerpts, and clips. This section also includes a powerful search engine letting viewers find videos in the categories which interest them, including Art of Living, Public Affairs, Sports, Culture, Services and Citizen's Voice. The site's Programs and Schedules sections are very popular with the public; easy to access, they provide lots of useful information about MAtv's programming.

Dare to participate!
In developing its new website design, MAtv made sure to give top priority to its primary mission: citizen participation. The new Participate section lets citizens who are interested in community television find all the necessary information about submitting TV projects to MAtv and about its My Volunteering program, which gives them the chance to do volunteer work and receive training in various media trades at MAtv's own TV studio.

A prestige showcase for content from Quebec's regions
In addition to letting visitors discover a wide variety of content produced by local TV artists and artisans in their own region of Quebec, the MAtv website gives them access to many programs from all nine of the Quebec regions that MAtv serves. And it's all just a few clicks away!
