MONTREAL, June 21, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - A Quebec delegation, comprising mainly Vélo Québec, the ministère des Transports du Québec, the Société de transport de Montréal, the Société de vélo en libre-service BIXI, the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal, the Agence métropolitaine de transport and the Polytechnique de Montréal, will take part in the Velo-city Global 2012 conference, which will be held in Vancouver from June 26 to 29 under the theme Cities in Motion - Sharing Cities' Success Stories.
This event will be an occasion to promote and share Quebec's expertise in cycling and active mobility, as well as to garner the best ideas from around the world. This is the second time that the Velo-city conference has taken place in Canada - indeed North America. The 1992 edition was held in Montreal at the initiative of Vélo Québec, which organized the first Vélo Mondiale conference bringing together both the Vélo-city and Pro Walk/Pro Bike Conferences | More >>>
