OTTAWA, Feb. 5, 2014 /CNW/ - Accreditation Canada is celebrating its fifth consecutive year as one of the Top 25 Employers in the National Capital Region.
An annual competition organized by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers, this year marks a decade recognizing Ottawa-area employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.
"It is a tremendous honour to receive this award," said Wendy Nicklin, President and CEO of Accreditation Canada. "I believe that a significant part of what makes Accreditation Canada one of the top employers in the National Capital Region is that our staff have the opportunity to contribute to improving the patient experience in health care, something everyone believes in. We are able to do that within a collaborative work environment supported by professional development which, in turn, contributes to a positive culture."
Employers are evaluated by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers using the same criteria as the national competition, including work and social atmosphere, benefits, training and skills development, employee communications and community involvement.
Accreditation Canada is an independent, not-for-profit organization that accredits health organizations in Canada and around the world.
