A resounding success for Tourisme Montréal at the Boomerang Awards
MONTREAL, Dec. 6 /CNW Telbec/ - With two prestigious awards in hand, Tourisme Montréal is elated with its showing last Thursday at the 16th edition of the Boomerang Awards held at the TOHU with around 1,000 people in attendance. During this gala evening organized by Infopresse, some 30 prizes were presented by the contest jury, which was presided over by Mitch Joel of Twist Image and comprised professionals from the advertising, Web production, multimedia, interactive marketing, and specialized publications industries.
In the "Interactive Marketing" class, Tourisme Montréal garnered top honours in the "Best Use of a Blog" category with the Montréal Buzz, its 100% Web-based promotional campaign, made possible, in part, by the hiring of dedicated bloggers. Furthermore, in the same class, Tourisme Montréal walked away with the grand prize in the "Online Campaign: Internet-based campaign or initiative" category, thanks to its Queer of the Year contest.
