LONGUEUIL, QC, Sept. 6, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) would like to inform users of the multipurpose Nuns' Island bike path that a section of the path will be closed as of Monday, September 9, at 7 a.m.
This closure is necessary to begin construction work on the new bypass bridge between Nuns' Island and Montreal. This section of the bike path is scheduled to reopen in May 2014.
The closed section of the bike path is located on the north side of Nuns' Island. Cyclists will be redirected via René-Lévesque Blvd. and Place du Commerce St. Other users are encouraged to use public transit.
